Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of www.maninacanlabs.com and the client dashboard at kit.maninacanlabs.com ("the Kit"), both run by Man In A Can Labs ("I", "me"). By using them you agree to these terms.

Projects and plans

Project work is done under a written quote or agreement that describes the scope, price and timeline. Monthly plans are described on this site and billed monthly. Where a quote or agreement differs from these terms, the quote or agreement wins.

Client accounts

  • Dashboard access is by invitation. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell me if you think someone else has used it.
  • You're responsible for the content you publish and the people you give access to.
  • You may connect your own accounts (such as Google) only if you're allowed to manage them.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site, the Kit or the websites it hosts to break the law, send spam, upload malware, infringe someone else's rights, or interfere with the service or other clients. I may suspend access that does.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content and files you provide. You let me host, copy and display them as needed to run your website and the Kit. When your service ends, I can give you a copy of your content.

My work

Ownership of custom work is set out in your quote or agreement. The Kit itself, and the tools I reuse across projects, remain mine; you get to use them while your plan is active.

Availability

I work to keep everything fast and available, but I can't promise the service will never be interrupted, and I rely on providers such as Fly.io, Cloudflare and Google. Planned maintenance is done at quiet times where possible.

Disclaimers and liability

The site and the Kit are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and my total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid me in the 12 months before it arose.

Changes and ending

I may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. You can stop using the service at any time, as set out in your plan or agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
